AGENDA:
Crisis of legitimacy- Investigating allegations of misconduct within FIA leadership and regulatory bias
ABOUT
THE
COMMITTEE
The FIA committee refers to the "Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile" or the International Automobile Federation. This committee is designed to simulate discussions and decision-making processes similar to those that occur within the real FIA.
The FIA is the governing body for world motorsport, responsible for overseeing various international racing events like Formula 1, World Rally Championship, and World Endurance Championship, among others. It sets the regulations, safety standards, and rules for these competitions, as well as promoting road safety initiatives and advocating for the interests of automotive clubs and organizations worldwide.
In an MUN setting, the FIA committee might discuss a range of topics related to motorsport and automotive industry regulation, safety standards, technological advancements, environmental concerns, and international cooperation. Delegates representing different countries or stakeholders would engage in debates, negotiate resolutions, and work towards finding solutions to the issues at hand, just like they would in a real-life FIA meeting.
